Cabbage and Lamb Recipe, Corn Free & More
I was walking around the internet a few weeks ago, and saw a cool idea for fried cabbage. I’ve never done anything like that, and of course, didn’t bother to read the recipe. I have a tendency to do that (look at pictures and move along). So I was on Good Eggs one day, and one of my safe farms was offering Organic Cabbage. I totally bought some, remembering the picture I had seen. When it arrived, I peeled back all of the outer layers (It’s an unfortunate safety thing that all Corn Free people seem to do), and ate a piece. STOP THE PRESSES. It was sooooo good. I had never had such good raw cabbage before. It was sweet, juicy, crunchy, everything I could ever hope for. Needless to say, I wanted to use the cabbage in many different meals, and this was one of them.

Traveling With Food Allergies, part 3
Is it sad that I made a part three of this series mainly so I could go on and on about the Lego Store? Probably, but! This is called Food AND LEGO 🙂 This is part three, and the final installation of the Traveling With Food Allergies series. Have you been able to travel successfully? Tell us about it. We’re always looking for new ideas.
Before I get to LEGO, here are some final thoughts about the trip overall, and some things that I would change, or can suggest, or need to over-suggest.
Messing Around in the Kitchen
As you may know, in addition to all the things we do around here, we also have a Bakery (Free and Friendly Foods). There are times when I’m filling orders, or pre-filling, and I get bored making the same design over and over again. I thought it would be fun to share some of the new flavors and designs I’ve been working on over the past month, some of which is are for sale now.
For those of you who don’t know, the Bakery is gluten free, allergy friendly, vegan, with options for paleo/grain free, and diabetics. Our mission is to Change The World, One Bite At A Time.
Paleo Chocolate Chip Muffin Recipe
I want to share something with you that the kids have deemed to be quite delicious. I have to admit, by looks alone, I didn’t think that this one was going to be a winner. Then they ate some, and begged me to make more. As usual, I thought they were messing around so I wouldn’t feel to bad about making a bad mix, but turns out, 2 batches later, they were being sincere.

Paleo & GAPs Organic Honey Mustard Chicken Recipe
I love honey mustard. Like, seriously, love it. The kids, not so much. Too bad. Eden Organics makes a stone ground brown mustard that I can tolerate, and I like to mix it with Organic Maple Butter to pretend that it’s honey mustard since I can’t tolerate honey :/
I say all of that to say that I’ve been wanting to make a honey mustard something for a while now. At first, I thought about making this honey mustard meal as baked chicken strips. Then I realized I wanted it to be Paleo & GAPs friendly, so I didn’t want to go that route. In the end, I felt that it turned out well, and The Papa and Kid Three enjoyed this the most. Kid Four really enjoyed the cauliflower rice.

Traveling With Food Allergies, part 2
The Night of Departure
As expected, they didn’t leave on time. I was beyond exhausted, but of course, couldn’t go to sleep because I was trying to get them out of the house. As soon as they were gone I was out.
Meanwhile, in an RV far far away, well, not that far… The Papa and Grandma were driving the 4 kids to an RV park in Morgan Hill, which is south of us, by maybe a couple of hours? Maybe 90 minutes.
