Corn Free BBQ Sauce!!!

I love BBQ sauce, and it’s something that I have missed a lot since learning that I’m allergic to everything. This creation was simply stunning. I love it! It really tastes like part ketchup part BBQ sauce and of course, with a kick. I hope you like it as much as I do! If you’re making this for kids, I recommend leaving the Cayenne out of the mix. The kids tried it and said it was too spicy, but the adults felt it was just right. Here’s what you need:

2 cans Organic tomato paste (12 ounces total)
1/2 cup Organic maple syrup
1/4 cup water
2 T Organic extra virgin olive oil
1/2 T Organic apple cider vinegar (I used Braggs for this one)
1/4 cup Organic light brown sugar
4 t Organic minced onion
2 t Organic mustard (ground seasoning)
1 t Sea salt
1/2 t Organic garlic
1/2 teaspoon Organic Cayenne

With a whisk, mix together the tomato paste and wet ingredients. When they’re smoothly combined, add in the sugar and seasonings. Continue to whisk until everything is incorporated together.

If you are using this to cook with immediately, you can put it directly over what you’re cooking, and it will “simmer” as it cooks.

If you’re making this to store in the fridge and use as a condiment: Heat the sauce on low on the stove top. Put a lid on it and let it simmer for 15 – 20 minutes. When doing this, it will thicken up a bit, and become even more yummy.
