LEGO Review – Jurassic World Dimensions Pack

This wasn’t as bad as the Doctor Who set. The raptor really saved the day. I was also a bit surprised because I thought the little vehicle would be fully enclosed, but it isn’t. It’s very open. Yup, I don’t like it all that much. Like the other Dimension set, my hopes were just to high to begin with. I did it to myself. I did however manage to score a Chris Pratt minifigure without having to buy a huge set. Considering the price of this one, I’m OK with it. If you’re going to get the game, get this for sure. You will enjoy it the building.

Not too bad of a set.

LEGO Review – Doctor Who Dimensions Pack

MAJOR disappointment. A little back story… I really don’t like LEGO video games. It’s borderline hate, and I don’t like to use that word. With the exception of LEGO Universe (which I still miss), I don’t like the games LEGO puts out there. With that in mind, I knew there was no way I was going to shell out over $700 on a game and all the characters. Just nope. Yet, I also knew how nice it would be to have a little Tardis, and a Doctor to call my own. And the sonic screwdriver! Need I say more? I got the set on sale, Target was having a buy 2 get one free offer. Yet, massive disappointment. First off, the box is HUGE in comparison to the 80 something micro pieces you get. Second, the box is HUGE and misleading. Third off, the box is HUGE and a waste of space. OK, now that I’ve got that off my chest… In all the pictures I’ve seen, the Tardis seems larger, so that was my first thing. It’s the size of 2 2×4 bricks. The outside pieces are 2×4 tiles with decoration (no stickers thankfully). However, the build was so simple, and I think I got my hopes up a bit too much for this set. The K-9 build was OK. I liked the use of pieces, and it was somewhat clever. Overall, I regret buying it. Had I really thought it through, I could have gotten the needed pieces through BrickLink and saved money. Hind sight… it’s always 20/20, unlike this set.
